My purchase is a gift. Can I include a message?
Yes! If you purchase a gift, just drop me a note at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know that you'd like to include a note along with it. I'm happy to write your note in a blank notecard.
Do you offer free no-contact local pickup?
Yes I do. If you prefer to save on shipping costs, you can pick up your order at my Toronto studio located near Yonge & Eglinton. Just select local pickup at checkout. When your order is ready, you'll receive an email with my contact information to arrange for contact-free porch pick up at a time that's convenient for you.
Toronto is currently in lock down and only essential trips are recommended. You are welcome to delay picking up your order until the lock down is over. I'm happy to keep your purchase safe & sound!
Caring for your pottery
Each Stainsby Studios piece is hand made with cone 6 stoneware. Only non-toxic, lead-free, food-safe glazes are used ensuring the safe consumption of hot and cold food and drink in my products.
To retain the quality of your piece and ensure longevity, hand-washing with a non-abrasive cloth or sponge in warm soapy water is recommended. However, the products are dishwasher safe. Avoid placing in extreme hot or cold environments such as an over or freezer, as this could cause thermal shock and result in fragility, cracking and/or breakage.
Is your work microwave safe?
Almost all Stainsby Studio ceramics are microwave safe. Pieces that are not microwave safe are clearly identified in their listing.
Pieces made with black clay are not recommended for the microwave as the microwaves heat the iron oxide stain used to create the colour. Pieces with gold are not microwave safe. Pieces made of white or speckled clay are microwave safe and that's the clay I mainly use to create my ceramics.
Do you do custom work? Do you accept commissions?
Beyond the personalized products offered by Stainsby Studios in the shop, I occasionally accept commissions on a very limited basis. I do not accept commissions during the busy holiday season from October to the end of December. Please send me an email at email@example.com if you'd like to discuss a commission. Please note that all commissions require payment in advance.
Do you do offer products for wholesale?
