I made these special mugs for my parents who own a cottage on West Lake in the Haliburton Highlands. 

I hand crafted these mugs on the pottery wheel and hand painted a map of West Lake on one side. I painted some canoe paddles and the lake name on the other side. I added a little heart on the lake showing where the property sits on West Lake. 

The cost of ONE custom cottage mug starts at $50 and up depending on the complexity of the design and the number of mugs required. That is, a more complex design may be more expensive. On the flip side, larger orders (e.g. 4 or more mugs) may result in a reduced price. Please keep in mind that commissions typically take four to six weeks to complete. I do not accept commissions from October to December

Artisan crafted from white stoneware made from Canadian clay. Non-toxic, lead-free, food-safe glaze. Designed, hand painted, and handmade in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Takes me back to the Lake year round

Just sitting down to my evening cup of tea as I write this review and, of course, my tea tastes all the better in my West Lake mug. The times we spend at the cottage every summer are very special and the map of West Lake (with our cottages location included) evokes our lovely memories all year round, with the added bonus of keeping my tea nice and warm for a long time.

On the lake people say West Lake is the best lake. Now we add that the West Lake mug is the best lake mug! We love our mugs and use them year-round. They make the tea taste better. The fact that we know and love the potter/artist has nothing to do with our review.
